PNG. Plex is not scraping posters for shows. I am running the latest version of plex.

It is grabbing episode thumbnails, synopsis and episode names but not the posters. Does anyone know where plex media manager stores the metadata posters that it collects? Submitted 4 years ago by mitzman.

Plex movie poster display is a side project i started a few years ago.

I'll just try and find the movie poster online, and drag & drop it into plex media manager. Collection by greg epps • last updated 10 weeks ago. They still read episode 5 despite tmm grabbing it's title and pertinent. Users oftentimes install plex on their favorite streaming device, including the amazon firestick, to stream downloaded movies from their home server.

Unofficial channels, in this case, doesn't necessarily mean that they are illegal, only that they have not yet been added to the official plex channel list for various purposes, e.g., being relatively new to plex.

It downloads the rest of the metadata fine (actors and actresses, director, even bonus features with plex pass).

It only seems to generate a single thumbnail and that's it.

So i had to rebuild my plex libraries recently due to a failed nas and found that i wasn't getting any posters even though other metadata would load.

It's rare, but sometimes users may see that plex media server retrieves all the normal textual metadata (description, director, cast, rating when creating a movie or tv shows library, the default metadata agent is one that will gather metadata from online sources.

Of course, plex can add movie posters and tv episode names, but the metadata goes much deeper.
